Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 is also known by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first album she released on the label on October 21st of 2016 with the title Pho. It was then that she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut music online in 2012. She dropped the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Her uploads continued music on the internet in 2014 and released her own single Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on July 21, 2015. In the following year, her music was circulating around the Dreamville team because J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him on some of the references for Rihanna.
